Andy Murray’s Backhand Lob
We want to dedicate our first post to the shot that gave us our name. On April 19, 2020, Andy Murray celebrated 15 years on the ATP Tour. As an anniversary gift, the ATP tour published a reel of what they called his signature shot: The Backhand Lob.
Watch Andy backhand “lobing” Tomáš Berdych, Gilles Simon, Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil, and Feliciano López. Actually, in June 2019 Feliciano partnered with him in doubles at the Fever-Tree Championships at The Queen’s Club, helping Andy win his first trophy since undergoing hip surgery earlier in 2019.
